Terms of Service
From the moment you open the Simpson Brothers Moving site or begin an estimate or booking on it, these terms are in effect. Reading the pages or booking our crew means you accept them.
About This Page
What you’re reading is just general background on how our moving service operates. By itself it forms no contract, the documents that truly govern your move are the bill of lading and the signed estimate that go with it.
Quotes and Scheduling
- We base each estimate on the rooms involved, what you’re moving, the doorway access at both ends, and your dates
- A local job is billed hourly or at a written flat rate, each carrying a one-hour minimum
- Your $100 deposit secures the date and comes off the final invoice
- Should the actual move differ from your description, we talk through any adjustment before making it
Coverage and Liability
| Type | The gist |
|---|---|
| Released-value coverage | Standard on every move, 60 cents per pound per item |
| Full-value protection | Available for a fee, cargo insured to $1,000,000 per shipment |
| Deposit | Holds the date, later credited to the final bill |
| Balance | Due once the job is finished |
If anything is lost or damaged, put it in writing inside the window allowed by Massachusetts law and your moving agreement, and our team will guide you through the claim.
